How our Anti-bacterial Protection Works

Anti-bacterial

Why do you need anti-bacterial protection?

Smartphones have become a big part of our everyday lives, and consequently, many of us are constantly touching our phones. The average smartphone user touches their phone more than 2,600 times per day and while we may be regularly washing our hands, many of us forget to clean our phones as frequently. Because of this extensive use and minimal cleaning smartphones have become a repository for bacteria, and consequently, our smartphones have been found to be up to 10 X dirtier than a toilet seat.

How do we make our cases/screen protectors anti-bacterial?

There are a few processes we have used to make our cases and screen protectors anti-bacterial, the type of process used depends on the material the product is made from. We have outlined the different processes we use for products below.

*Anti-bacterial Coating

For cases that are made from plastic or leather, an anti-bacterial coating is added to prevent the development of bacteria on the surface. This is done by mixing SR-G-106 mildew preventive anti-bacterial masterbatch into injection material /painting oil/PU leather material/Fibre. SR-G-106 mildew preventive is one type of anti-bacterial agent from Japan SIAA association authorised SR Company.

*Silver ion implantation

Silver ion is an inorganic compound that has oxidising power and is often used for disinfection and sterilisation. We have incorporated these ions into products like our tempered glass screen protectors during the tempered process so that they have perpetual anti-bacterial properties. Ag ions are implanted into both the inner layer of the glass and the case itself. When a small amount of silver ions reach the microbial cell membrane, the silver ions penetrate the cell wall and enter the cell, and react with SH group to solidify the protein, destroy the activity of cell synthetase. The cell loses the ability of division and proliferation. Ag ions can also destroy the electron transport system, respiratory system and material transport system of microorganisms.

*Anti-bacterial technology is applied to our products, but will not directly protect the user from any exposure to bacteria or provide other health assistance.

What does having an anti-bacterial case/screen protector mean for you?

Having anti-bacterial cases and screen protectors mean that they will kill up to 99% of germs, and by combining both products, they can aid in keeping your phone hygienically clean.

These processes have a high-temperature resistance (1300℃) and high light transmittance and HD, which means they will provide a permanent anti-bacterial effect that will not disappear with external factors.

These anti-bacterial processes will be able to eliminate more than 650 kinds of bacteria (such as Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terrestris, Paecilomyces vannamei, Penicillium ropiformis, Auricularia pullulans, Escherichia coli, etc.)
